  • Customizable: Easily adapt the sliders with various toppings or use different sauces to keep dinner exciting.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • For the Sliders:
    • Mini whole grain slider buns (or gluten-free sliders – I used Canyon Bakehouse)
    • Lean ground turkey breast
    • Cheddar cheese (or your choice of cheese)
    • Spices like garlic powder and onion powder
    • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles
  • For the Honey Mustard Sauce:
    • Dijon mustard
    • Honey
    • Optional mayonnaise for creaminess
    • Optional apple cider vinegar for a tangy kick

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Preheat and Prep: Begin by heating your oven to 350°F (175°C) and cooking your seasoned ground turkey until fully browned.
  2. Whip Up the Sauce: While the turkey cooks, mix up your honey mustard sauce in a bowl. Adjust the ingredients to taste for the perfect blend of sweet and tangy.
  3. Assemble the Sliders: Lay the slider buns on a baking tray, pile on the turkey, drizzle with the honey mustard sauce, add a slice of cheese, and top with the bun tops.
  4. Bake: Brush a mixture of melted butter and a touch of mustard on the buns and sprinkle with sesame seeds for an extra crunch. Cover with foil and bake until the cheese is delightfully melted.
  5. Serve: Serve these mouthwatering sliders warm with extra honey mustard sauce and your choice of toppings.

Pro Tips

  • Avoid Dryness: Keep an eye on the turkey as it cooks to ensure it remains juicy and tender.
  • Serving Suggestion: Pair the sliders with veggie sticks, sweet potato fries, or a fresh vegetable salad for a balanced meal.
  • Make Ahead: These sliders are great for meal prep. Assemble ahead and pop them in the oven when you’re ready to eat!
